100 Miles of String

100 Miles of String is a large-scale participatory artwork by Leap Then Look, inspired by Marcel Duchamp's 1942 installation Mile of String. Over the course of the project, participants are invited to weave, knot, and stretch brightly coloured string through a space, gradually transforming it into a dense, immersive environment. The work shifts and grows with every contribution, making each iteration unique to the people and place in which it is created.

Combining play, collaboration, and sculpture, 100 Miles of String explores how simple materials and collective action can reshape a space and create shared experiences.
